Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Johnson Tubre, 91, of Jonesville, formerly of Oakdale, were held at Grace Baptist Church Monday, June 15, 2009, 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Perry Gardner officiating.

Interment followed at Harrisonburg Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Mrs. Tubre was born March 29, 1918, in Rapides Parish and passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Columns Nursing Home in Jonesville.

She was a resident of Jonesville and a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Tubre, Sr.; daughter, Ruth Ann Tanner; father, Charles Johnson; mother, Emma Mixon Johnson; sisters, Oneida LeBleu and Lea Morris Dyer; brothers, Dallas Johnson and Durwood Johnson.

Survivors include sons -- Doug Tubre and wife, Martha, of Jonesville, Charles Tubre of New Orleans, Bill Tubre and wife, Barbara, of Ruston; daughter, Brenda "Bea" Tubre of Charenton; brother, O. D. Johnson of Houston, TX; grandchildren -- Deborah Tubre Bennett, Michael Tubre, David Tubre, Richard Tubre and Andrew Tanner. She was also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
