Colmetta F. Myers
Funeral services for Mrs. Colmetta F. Myers, 86, of Vidalia were held at First Baptist Church of Vidalia on Monday, July 6, 2009, 11 a.m. with Bro. Dan Glen and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.
Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Vidalia.
Mrs. Myers was born January 25, 1923, in Bude, MS, and passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez.
She was a resident of Vidalia, a homemaker and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia for 56 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Myers; parents, Pearl and John E. Foster; and a brother, J. W. Foster.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Myers of Vidalia; sons -- Jimmy Myers and wife, Pat, and Johnny Myers and wife, Susan, all of Ferriday; grandsons -- Jay Myers, wife Tracy, and children, Lyndsey and Lauren, John Erick Myers, wife Lyndsy and daughter, Kinley, and Bo Myers; sisters -- Ruby Todd, Juanita Barletta, Detress Wilson, Dorothy McFarland and husband, Ralph, Betty Touchstone, Judy Hamilton and husband, Jerry; and brother -- James E. Foster and wife, Louise. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jay Myers, Bo Myers, John Erick Myers, Larry Todd, Edward Lee and Walley Wallace.
