The Concordia Parish 12-year-olds All-Star team captured the Sub-District 5 South Tournament Tuesday defeating Winnsboro 8-7.

The contest went into extra innings after both teams were tied at 7-7.

In the eighth inning, William Handjis scored the winning run on a wild pitch to give Concordia the win.

Concordia Parish will take on Osterland in Monroe, in the district tournament, which starts Saturday.Concordia scored first in its first at-bat as Ty Brown delivered a solo home run.

Winnsboro scored one run each in the second and third innings before Concordia exploded for six runs in the fourth.

Winnsboro scored three in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Handjis doulbed and singled for Concordia, while Trey Book had two singles.

T yler Stockstill, Hunter Randall and Cole Cupit each singled.

Alan Doyle was the winning pitcher for Concordia Parish while McCarthy was the losing pitcher for Winnsboro.

Concordia beat Catahoula 19-0 as Stockstill got the win.

Dylan Jones had three singles, while Brown, Handjis, Doyle and Dakota Hunt singled twice and Hayden Nunnery and Book singled.

Concordia defeated South Franklin 14-3 as Nunnery was the winning pitcher.

Dylan Jones and Handjis had three singles. Wyatt Boothe singled twice. Nunnery, Brown, Stockstill, Book, Cupit and Hunt added singles.

11-year-olds

The Concordia 11-year-old all-star team rebounded from a 9-3 opening day loss to Monroe in the District 5 Tournament with three wins.

Concordia fell to Monroe 9-3 in its first game as Pate Shirley had a home run and singled.

Concordia came back with an 11-10 win over West Monroe.

Tyler Cothern singled in the first inning and scored on a double by Shirley. Cole Cangemi bounced one over the fence for a ground rule double. Chandler Grayson delivered a run-scoring single.

In the third inning, Korey Henson and Nathan Knapp both singled, Cothern and Shirley doubled and Cangemi and Kade Passman singled for the fifth run in the inning.

Concordia socred one run in the fourth as Jayden Ivey, Jay Barthelemy and Henson singled and Austin Tait hit a sacrifice fly.

Following a triple by Cothern, Shirley connected with a 2-run home run for the winning runs.

Passman picked up the win.

Concordia routed Mangham 20-0 in its third game.

Cohern singled and had a grand slam in the first inning.

Cangemi and Jake Barlow combined for a no-hitter.

Concordia defeated West Monroe 8-1 Tuesday night.

Cothern sent the second pitch of the game over the fence for a home run.

In the third inning, Knapp had a two-run single and scored on a single by Tait.

In the fourth inning, Shirley and Cangemi singled and Chandler Grayson delivered a 3-run home run. Jake Cooper followed with a home run.

Passman and Cangemi were the pitchers.

Concordia faces Caldwell today (Wednesday) at 6 p.m.

10-9 year olds

Concordia Parish's 9-year-old all star team has lost its first two games of the Sub-District 5 South Tournament being played in Ferriday.

Concordia fell to Madison 15-9 in its first game on Saturday.

Rains postponed games Monday before Concordia fell to Winnsboro 12-2.

South Franklin meets Catahoula at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday), while Winnsboro faces Madison at 8 p.m.

Concordia faces South Franklin Thursday at 8 p.m. before closing out the round robin tournament on Friday against Catahoula at 6 p.m.

Tri-Parish

The Concordia Tri-Parish 13-year-old All-Star team defeated Richland 6-4 in its first game in Winnsboro.

Kyle Lipsey hit a two-run double to drive in the winning runs.

Ashton Holland was 3-for-4, whiile Garrett Rehmsdoubled.

William Anderson was the winning pitcher.

Meanwhile, the Concordia Tri-Parish 14-year-old team defeated Caldwell, 9-7 as Blake Martin got the win.

Sky Logan had a home run and singled. Brandon Warshaw doubled and singled, Nate Thomas, Elliot Britt and Tanner Martin singled twice.

Concordia fell to Monroe, 16-10 Sunday. Tanner Martin doubled and singled. Jeffrey Spann and Kyle Bradley singled twice, while Blake Martin, Jarrett Hedrick, Sky Logan, Nate Thomas and Brandon Warshaw each singled.
