Engagement Roark - Nelson
DeeDee and Randy Cooper of Monterey and Steve and Nikki Roark of Crowville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Whitney Brooke Roark, to Richard Eugene Nelson. He is the son of Stacy and William Nelson Jr. of Vidalia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Sarita Nielsen, the late Jessie Nielsen Jr., Mrs. Barbara Roark, and the late William Roark Sr., all of Delhi.
She is a graduate of Monterey High School and attended ULM. She is employed by the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office as a counselor.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Patsy and Richard Cain of Ferriday, Norman Jean and William Nelson Sr. of Vidalia.
He is a graduate of Tensas Academy and is employed by Miss-Lou Electric Service as an electrician.
The wedding will take place August 8, 2009, six o'clock in the evening at Eva Church of God in Monterey. Bro. Kevin Sims will officiate.
A reception will follow at the church and a wedding party will follow at the home of the bride's parents in Monterey.
Family and friends are invited to attend. Invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only. |
