The Concordia 11-year-old all-stars fell to Monroe in the championship game, but qualified for the state tournament to be held in Gonzales beginning Friday.

Concordia faces Morgan City at 5 p.m.

Concordia fell to Monroe in its first game, but came back through the loser's bracket to face Monroe in the finals, this time falling 7-5.

There are two four-team pools in the state tournament, and the winner of each pool will play each other on Sunday, July 19 for the state championship.

On July 8, Concordia defeated Caldwell 11-5.

Caldwell scored first before Concordia answered with Tyler Cothern and Pate Shirley collecting singles and Cole Cangemi hitting a home run. Chandler Grayson singled and Jake Cooper doubled.

In the third inning, Jake Barlow singled, Shirley walked and Cangemi unloaded with a 3-run home run. Kade Passman walked, Grayson and Dylan Parnham singled and Jayden Ivey and Jay Barthelemy followed with singles.

Cothern picked up the win.
