Travis Gore
Funeral services for Travis Gore, 90, of Vidalia will be held Friday, July 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Vidalia at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held beginning at 1 p.m.
Mr. Gore was born May 31, 1919, to Hilry (Bud) and Oneida Gore in the rural community of Pistol Thicket in Caldwell Parish. He passed away today, Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
Burial will be held at Old Bethel Cemetery in Columbia. Arrangements are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mr. Gore was a former president and chief executive officer of Concordia Bank & Trust Co.
Survivors include his wife, Nigel Gore; two sons, Lyman Gore and wife, Janice, Brent Gore and wife, JoLynn; one daughter, Kay Savant and husband, Robbie; grandchildren — Michael Gore, Jason Gore, Lori Gore, Carol Loy, Josh Loy, Heath Savant and Amber Savant; and one great-grandchild, Emily Carol Loy.
