Chase Skipper Funeral services for Mr. Chase Skipper, 16, of Foules were held Saturday, July 11, 2009, 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Church in Foules with Bro. Jerry Sharp Jr. officiating.
Interment followed at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Chase was born February 26, 1993, in Ferriday and passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. He was a member of Sunnyside Church in Foules where he was an active member of the youth group, always ready and eager to help with anything and he ran the audio sound system. Chase worked his summers with Roger Carters Ag Managment, where he checked cotton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis Smith.
Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Linda Skipper of Clayton; sisters -- Heather and husband, Ronald Powers of Sicily Island, Corrie B. Buckles of Ferriday, and Madison Skipper of Clayton; brother, Noah D. Skipper of Clayton; grandfather, Raymond Skipper and wife, Sherry, of Clayton; grandmother, June Skipper of Waterproof; and grandparents, Wayne and Hanna Harvey of Natchez. Also surviving are a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were Joshua Smith, Cody Allen, Logan Mason, Elijah Harrell, Jeremy Case, and Jay Seymour.
Honorary pallbearers were Lil Jerry Sharp, Barry Sharp, Bill Harrell, Matt Myers, Russ Mason, Freddie Hill, and Bro. John Martin. |
