Funeral services for Ethel Mary Hedrick Bradford, 81, of Eva were held Saturday, July 25, 2009, 10 a.m. at Eva Church of God with the Rev. Kevin Sims and the Rev. Lloyd Trisler officiating.

Burial followed at Hedrick Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Bradford was born November 23, 1927, in Concordia Parish, the daughter of Monroe and Emma C. Hedrick. She passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, in Jena.

She had been a lifelong resident of Eva, a homemaker and a member of Eva Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Felix J. Bradford; four brothers, Kelly, Jacob, Hugh and Millard Hedrick; and three sisters, Irene Reeves, Birdie Gordon and Velva Carter.

Survivors include one son, James Lee Paul and wife, Cindy, of Monterey; one daughter, Phyllis Beach and husband, Roy, of Natchez; one stepson, Felix Bradford of Fredricksburg, TX; four grandchildren, Phillip Paul and wife, Susan, of Monroe, Justin Paul of Monterey, Dennis Bradford of Arkansas and Connie Bradford of Fredricksburg; and one great-grandchild, Maranda Paul of Monroe.

Pallbearers were John Brigman, Darrell Brigman, Greg Poole, Larry Henry, Dixie Hamilton and Justin Paul.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Hedrick.
