Betty L. Howington Funeral services for Mrs. Betty L. Howington, 88, of Ferriday, were held at Pentecostal of the Miss-Lou on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Interment followed at South Central Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Betty Howington was born August 17, 1920, in Akron, Ohio and passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Camelot Lesuire Living in Ferriday.
She was a resident of Ferriday, formerly of Wisner. Mrs. Howington was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal of the Miss-Lou
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Howington; parents, Charles Ephraim and Kizzie Ezell; great - grandson, Gary Braxton Myers; and a sister, Belle Paine.
Survivors include sons, Rodney Howington of Wisner, Charles Howington of Wisner, and Gary and wife Kathy Howington of Ferriday; grandchildren —Todd, Seth and Dean Howington, Haven Howington Blackmon and her husband, Travis, Melody Howington, Jeremy Howington and his wife, Sharlene, and Tara Howington Myers and her husband, Jerry; two great-grandchildren, Leyland Blackmon and Alissa Howington; three nieces — Jeanette and her husband, Harold Coburn of Shreveport, Judy and her husband, Charles Mock of Monroe, and Jan Bass of Wisner.
Pallbearers were Jerry Myers, Dean Howington, Seth Howington, Jeremy Howington, Randy Lipscomb and Stephen Wells.
Honorary pallbearers were Travis Blackmon and Todd Howington. |
