Dorothy Mae Kelley Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Kelley, 85, of Ridgecrest were held at Young's Funeral Home on Monday, August 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial followed at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Kelley was born May 16, 1924, in Jonesville and passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009, at her residence.
She was a resident of Ridgecrest, a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mose Monroe Morace; mother, Leona Mae Morace; husband, Harvey K. "Shorty" Kelley; son, Kenneth R. Kelley; daughter, Opal G. Mullins; grandsons, Kenneth R. Kelley, Jr. and Joshua Matthew Kelley; four sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Kelley of Ridgecrest; daughter, Elizabeth Faye Fletcher of Ridgecrest; three sisters, Louise Smith of Vidalia, Lillian Moore of Aimwell, and Dora Parker of Ball; one brother, Wallace Morace of Sandy Lake; two stepdaughters, Julie and husband, Vicente Herrera of California and Beverly and husband, Paul Dendary of Nevada; one stepson, Ronnie and wife, Debra Kelley of California. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Donald, Tyler Forman, DeWayne Forman, Robert Evans and Anthony Donahue. |
