Stockstill wins youth tourney

Tyler Stockstill of Ferriday fired a 116 Monday to win top honors at the Panola Woods Junior Golf Championship.

Stockstill won the 11-12 division, finishing two strokes ahead of Alex Miller at 118. Even Webber shot a 126.

Caitlin Ballard won the 9-10 division in a one-hole playoff with Wes Stockstill as both shot a 122.

The Panola Men's Championship will be held Saturday.

Mitch Ashmore is seeking his 12th title. Last year, the tournamnt was cut short by Tropical Storm Fay.

Ashmore finished with an even par 72, one stroke ahead of Pat Hinson, who shot a 73 to win the Senior Championship.

Richard Criswell, who has won four men's championships at Panola, finished third at 75.

Cliff McGlothin, Jeremy Woods and Mike Zimmerman all finished at 79.

Clyde Savoy won the Super Senior Championship with an 80.
