Leah Jayne Dinger Dupree of Ferriday and Edwin "Ed" C. Rowan, III of Monroe were united in marriage Saturday, June 27, 2009.

The bride is the daughter of Melanie Dinger Sibley of Lake Concordia and the late Roland H. Dinger. The groom is the son of the late Edwin C. Rowan Jr. and the late Jane Rowan of Monroe.

The afternoon nuptials were held at the home of the bride's mother on Lake Concordia. Vases of ivory roses and baby's breath flanked the alter complimenting the setting. Music was provided by Robert J. McCormick of Monroe.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother.

For her wedding, the bride chose an elegant imported designer dress featuring Victorian style antique ivory lace overlaying hand stitched accordian pleats which gracefully fell to a tea length.

Connie Crum Wilson, cousin of the bride, of Natchez attended as maid of honor. She wore a peach and black dress complimented with a single ivory rose and streamers of peach ribbon.

Gary McCormick of Monroe served as best man to Mr. Rowan.

A reception followed at the lake home. Assisting were Ada Anderson of Ferriday, Catherine Crum of Monterey, and Cheryl McCormick of Monroe.

The wedding cake was three tiers of chocolate made by the bride.

Following a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple has made their home in Ferriday.
