Carolyn James Bishop
Funeral services for Carolyn James Bishop, 67, of Baton Rouge were held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge with the Father Mark Holland officiating.
Interment followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Bishop was born March 13, 1942, in Sylvarena, MS, and passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.
She was an independent insurance agent and a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Lura Bailey James.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Bishop of Baton Rouge; brother, Phillip Ray James, of Waterproof; niece, Sara James of Austin, TX; nephew, Zach James of Rockdale, TX; sister-in-law, Nancy Bishop Burns and brother-in-law, Jerry Burns; and two nieces and two nephews by marriage.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Baton Rouge Humane Society. |
