Private family services for David B. Mitchell, Jr., will be held at a later date under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Our dad's journey through this life has come to an end. He died Sunday, August 16, 2009, in Meadowview Nursing Home in Minden.
He was born January 15, 1926, in Fayette, MS. He was aged 83 years, seven months and one day.
He was the father of three: David Kevin Mitchell of Clayton, Danny Patrick Mitchell of Vivian, and Veda Kathryn Mitchell Comeaux of Benton; five grandchildren — Erin Alexis Mitchell, Jordan Mallory Mitchell, Rachael Alexandra Mitchell, Amber Cheyenne Comeaux, and Shayn Bryce Comeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Benton Mitchell, Sr., and Mary O. Mitchell of Clayton; brother, Donald Ivan Mitchell of Clayton; and our mother, Kathryn Green Mitchell, the love of his life.
He was liked and loved and we will miss him. |
