Vidalia, Ferriday softball merging

Vidalia Girls Softball and Ferriday Dixie Softball announce they have merged to form a new league called Concordia Dixie Softball.

The league will start in May and district play will be held in July.

All girls are invited to come learn and play the game of of fast-pitch.

The Vidalia recreation slow-pitch league will start in April.

Summer league games will be played in Vidalia at three parks.

Meanwhile, a free instructional clinic will be held October 4 at 1 p.m. at the Vidalia Girls Softball Field. All girls and parents are invited to learn the basics to pitching, catching, hitting and other skills associated with fast-pitch.

Anyone interested in pitching or catching is urged to attend.
