Story Archives: Jones-Liddell feud reenactment on tap

Jones-Liddell feud reenactment on tap
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Planning Committee in Catahoula Parish is making plans for the Jones-Liddell Feud to be re-enacted at Four Rivers Park on Saturday, November 7, at 1 p.m.

Singing groups will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food will by served by the Jonesville Woman's Club during this time.

The event will be as close to real life as its directors, actors, and crew can make it with narration, dialogue, actors in costume and Confederate uniforms, shoot-outs, real-life horses, wagons, guns, and ammunition. Descendants of the principals in this feud -- General St. John Liddell and Colonel Charles Jones -- will act out the parts of their ancestors whenever possible.
