Cathedral High fell to Sebastopol 26-13 Friday in its Region 4-1A opener at Sebastopol Friday.

"We played better in the second half," said Cathedral coach Craig Beesley. "We just couldn't get anything going in the first half."

The Green Wave scored on its second possession on a 28-yard pass from Caleb Upton to Daniel Huffines. Cole Mann's extra point pulled the Green Wave to within 8-7.

Cathedral (0-4, 0-1) scored its other touchdown with as Dylan White connected with Daniel Huffines on a 13-yard pass late in the game.

"Dylan did a good job in the second half and Daniel made some good catches for us," Beesley said. "Our defense was much better in the second half."

Cathedral hosts Mount Olive Friday.

It is the first home game for the Green Wave since August 28.

"We're definitely glad to be home," Beesley said. "Mount Olive has the best player in our district in (Reuben) Ducksworth. We have to try and slow him down."

Mount Olive defeated Cathedral 34-28 last season.
