Story Archives: Huntington travels to Glenbrook

Huntington travels to Glenbrook
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Huntington and Glenbrook have had some classic district and playoff matchups in the past.

But nothing but pride will be riding on this year's outcome in Minden Friday as the Hounds face Glenbrook in a non-district game.

Huntington's playoff hopes were dashed by Briarfield last week as the Hounds fell to 0-2 in district play.

"Glenbrook is not as good as they have been in the past, but they are still better than Tallulah, Briarfield and Riverdale, who have beaten us," said Huntington coach Chad Harkins. "They've got a kid named Preston Wise who has a lot of speed. And you can count on Glenbrook being very salty."

Glenbrook whipped Cenla 52-27 last week.

Wise had a big night as he had a hand in seven Glenbrook touchdowns.

"Right now we're just trying to get better each week," Harkins said. "We're trying to lay a good foundation for the future."

Huntington returns home against Cenla next week.
