Bobby Madison and DeVonta Scott rushed for more than 100 yards each to lead Ferriday to a 32-12 victory over Peabody at Peabody's Homecoming Friday night.

"We were more efficient this week than we have been all year," said Ferriday head coach Freddie Harrison. At the same time, we are still making a lot of mistakes, such as penalties (15 for 123 yards). We're not putting people away like we should be. We were up 20-0 and then we just started sputtering."

Ferriday's first score came on a 15-yard strike from Lawson to Alfred Brown with 3:09 left in the first period.

Lawson connected on a 57-yard pass play to Scott for a score with 1:14 left in the first quarter.Lawson completed 11 of 18 passes for 189 yards with no interceptions, and he was 10-of-15 for 181 yards in the first half.

Scott rushed for 112 yards on 12 carries, while Madison had 125 yards on 13 carries.

Scott also had 107 yards in receiving.

Alfred Brown caught five passes for 68 yards.

Marques Lewis led the Trojan defense with 13 tackles.

Peabody (1-4) scored once in each half, with sophomore quarterback Alaric Jones hitting senior tight end Clayton Ashley on an 18-yard TD pass late in the second quarter and tossing a 9-yard pass to a leaping Jaworra Dorsey in double coverage for a score with 4:41 remaining.
