Gaye Clark Funeral services for Gaye Clark, 71, of Vidalia, were held today, Wednesday, October 14, 2009, 10 a.m. at Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia with the Rev. Dusty Carson officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mrs. Clark was born July 29, 1938, in Natchez and passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Crown Health and Rehab in Natchez.
She was a 1956 graduate of Ferriday High School and received her bachelor's degree in business education from Northwestern State University in 1960. She worked in several capacities in the area, most recently with the Seventh Judicial District Judge's Office as an instructor for the Louisiana Business College; R.A. Campbell Company; C and D Operating Company; and Campbell Energy Corporation, and served as for two terms as president and secretary of the Board of Directors.
Mrs. Clark attended First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Willie Clark; mother, Teresa Belle Clark; one sister, Willie Mae Clark; and one brother, Hugh E. Clark.
Survivors include one nephew, Christian Clark of Houston, Texas; one niece, Teresa Matherne and husband, Brady, and their children, Caleb and Tyler, all of Pineville; and one sister-in-law, Lynn Clark of Vidalia.
Pallbearers were Brady Matherne, Mark Crane, Marc Wallace, Ray Routon, Billy Rucker and Curry Matherne.
Honorary pallbearers were Christian Clark and Art Verdel. |
