Trinity comes up just short
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Trinity Episcopal came up five yards short of an upset win as the Saints fell to Brookhaven 27-25 in a game that ended with Trinity on the Cougar 5-yard line.

"It was a hard fought game and they made more plays than w did," said Trinity coach David King. "We just have to look at the big picture. We are battle-tested against the type of competition we've faced. The kids just have to stay focused."

Trinity led 14-10 at halftime as R.J Fleming scored on runs of 80 and 4 yards.

Fleming passed 20 yards to Giovanni Dent for the other Saint TD.

Trinity visits Centreville Friday. The Saints close their regular season with district games against Tallulah and at Huntington.

"It's going to be a physical contest," King said. "It's another huge challenge for us."
