Vikings named All-District

Five members of the Vidalia High football team were named to the District 3-AAA All-District Football Team.

Named to the first team for the Vikings were senior offensive tackle Benjamin Parnham, senior wide receiver Gary Stewart and senior running back Quan Riley.

Named on first team defense were senior defensive tackle Van Thompson and senior linebacker Joe Williams.

Named to the second team for the Vikings were senior offensive guard Chase Smith, senior offensive tackle John Brixey. junior wide receiver Tri McCoy, sophomore defensive back Jamale Davis and junior athlete Caleb Vines.

Named as honorable mentions for the Vikings were D.J. Polk, Reggie Reynolds, Mason Ozburn, Seth Barlow, Dee Fleming, Heath White and Chris Thomas.

The Most Valuable Player in the district is Bunkie quarterback Kendrick Leary, while Panther linebacker Morgan Newton was named Defensive Player of the Year. Bruce Webb of Bunkie was named Coach of the Year.
