James Farrell Rials Funeral services for James Farrell Rials, 80, of Wisner were held at Holly Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, November 29, 2009, 2 p.m., with Rev. Mickey Gallup officiating.
Interment followed at Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Farrell Rials was born March 12, 1929, in Brookhaven, MS and passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at his residence in Wisner. He was a cotten farmer, fish farmer and a member and deacon of Holly Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Rials; mother, Maudie (Martin) Rials; six brothers -- Carl Rials, William Rials, Hezie Rials, Luke Rials, J.Q. Rials, Thurman Rials; and a sister, Carrie Hawkins.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Willie Katherine (Braswell) Rials; four sons -- Herman Rials and wife Ida of Wisner, Dennis Rials and wife Jennie of Maurepas, Dave Henry Jr. and wife Brenda of Natchez, Carl Henry and wife Carol of Gosnell, AR; a daughter, Judy Boothe and husband Glen of Wisner; three sisters -- June Lachney of Gilbert, Annie White of Ferriday, Velma Calhoun and husband Bobby of Vidalia; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Ronald Beach, Carl Haring, Mike Beach, Darrell Beach, Bubba Dale Ellerbe, and Keith Walker.
Honorary pallbearers were Barney Delaughter, Tom Kerrigan, Sam Hoggatt, Sonny Sporles, DeeDee Smith, and Williard Smith. |
