Ferriday lands six on district first team

Ferriday had six players selected to the District 2-2A first team.

Ferriday finished the season at 7-4.

Named to the first team were senior running back Bobby Madison, junior athlete, defensive back and kick returner Devante Scott, junior offensive lineman Gerald Webster, junior wide receiver Alfred Brown, senior defensive lineman Julius White, linebacker Marques Lewis.

Named to the second team were junior offensive lineman Demetrius Conner, defensive lineman Carl Ray Thompson, linebacker ZuRanie Thompson, Madison and senior Neico Amado as defensive backs.

Honorable mentions are offensive linemen Jacari Williams and Charles Chandler, quarterback Rodney Lawson and defensive lineman Carlon McKeel.

Farmerville head coach Joe Spatafora, Farmer running back DePaul Elliot and Jonesboro-Hodge defensive back Robdonavan Lewis were named MVPs.
