Jane LeBlanc Memorial services celebrating the life of Mrs. Jane LeBlanc, 86, of Ferriday will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Ferriday on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.
Mrs. LeBlance was born September 7, 1923, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to the late Lula Mae and William Francis Abney. She passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at the Adams County Nursing Home in Natchez.
She was married to the late Joseph B. LeBlanc and lived the majority of her life in Shreveport. After the death of her husband, she moved to be with her daughter and son-in-law in Baton Rouge until 2007. She then moved to the Adams County Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ferriday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bernard LeBlanc; sister, Vera Mae Abney Roe; brother, William Francis Abney, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Alwood and husband, John, of Baton Rouge; son, Bill LeBlanc and wife, Lynne, of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Jane Anne Cole and husband, Tommy, John E. "Tres" Alwood III and wife, Heather, Aaron LeBlanc, and David LeBlanc; great grandchildren, Thomas River Cole and John E. Alwood IV; and brother, Robert Lee Abney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Natchez Children's Home.
The family will receive friends at First Presbyterian Church of Ferriday from 10 a.m. to service time of 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009. |
