Visitation for Clarence D. Brown, 63, of Alexandria was held Tuesday, December 15, 2009, in the White Oaks Alexandria Chapel under the guidance of White Oaks, Alexandria.

Mr. Brown entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 13, 2009, in his home surrounded by his loved ones following a courageous battle with lung disease.

He was born on March 30, 1946, in Pineville to the union of Grey R. Brown and Ina Kirkland Brown. He was a Baptist by faith, a retired crew leader for International Paper, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G.R. & Ina Brown; four brothers, Wayne, Joe, Paul, and Frank Brown; one sister, Arlene Craig; and one grandson, Jarred Brown.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory; his wife, Sarah Brown of Alexandria; six children, Timothy D. Brown and wife, Karen of Denham Springs, Stacie Brown of Denham Springs, Toni Mobley and husband, Scott of Woodworth, Cathy Derbonne and husband, Joey of Alexandria, Newsom T. Shows and wife, Dawn of Sanitobia, MS, Kelli Rizutto and husband, Joseph of Valdosta, GA; three brothers, Wincey Brown and Lannie Brown, both of Ferriday, and Dan Brown of Dundee, MS; one sister, Beckie Jones of Jackson, MS; nine grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
