School Board holds last regular meeting for 2009
The Concordia Parish School Board moved through a short agenda during its final regular meeting of 2009 Thursday night.
The board approved the payment of invoices for November totaling $3,650,094 and took under advisement bids for an agriculture/grazing lease on about 75 acres on Airport Road.
Additionally, the board recognized Christmas card art winners and Vidalia Junior High School for its Blue Ribbon Award.
In personnel matters, the board approved the following:
Appointments:
Florence Washington, 2-hr. sweeper, Vidalia Upper Elementary, effective December 11, 2009.
Jackie Williams, 2-hr. sweeper, Vidalia Upper Elementary, effective December 11, 2009.
Tyrone Briggs, head custodian, Ferriday Jr. High School, effective December 14, 2009.
Leave:
Jamie Cloessner, teacher, Vidalia Upper Elementary, maternity leave, effective January 23, 2009-March 19, 2009.
Retirement:
George Faircloth, teacher/head football coach, Vidalia High School, retirement, effective December 31, 2009. |
