Funeral services for Paul Storm Cangemi, 16, of Vidalia were held at Vidalia Riverfront Convention Center on Sunday, December 20, 2009, 2 p.m. with Bro. Preston Holder and Bro. Don Bush officiating. Interment followed at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Storm Cangemi was born October 9, 1993, in Ferriday and passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009.

He was a resident of Vidalia. He attended Vidalia High School where he was the class president, voted most likely to succeed, in the gifted program and a member of the student council. He was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Storm had a love for his family, friends, and animals. He truly loved spending family time with his Dad, Mom, brother Cole and sister Katie. Storm always made sure to be at his brother's or sister's ballgames. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends in the morning before school.

Because of his love for animals, Storm had a collection of many exotic birds. They ranged from pigeons, jungle fowl, peacocks, swans, Mandarin ducks, Teal ducks, pheasants, and emus. His collection of birds was guarded by his pot belly pig, named Bella.

He loved to hunt and enjoyed the great outdoors. His leisure activities included spending time at his hunting camp with his grandfather, raising their animals doing what they referred to as "Feed Up".

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Michael Leon Cangemi; maternal great grandfather, Ellis Taylor; aunt, Dianne Taylor; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Brown.

Survivors include his parents, Paul and Missy Cangemi of Vidalia; brother, Cole Cangemi; sister, Katie Cangemi; maternal grandparents, William and Connie Seyfarth; paternal grandmother, Vivian Cangemi; maternal great-grandmothers, Virgie Taylor and Mertis Gilmore; aunts and uncles -- Mike Cangemi and Susan, Mary Helen Deleon, Walter Cangemi, Susan and Ronnie McMillin, Heath Seyfarth, Tammy Taylor, Shane Seyfarth, Janee Arnold, Dana and Chris McGivaren, David Taylor, Randy and Letha Taylor, Jesse McKey, Florence Townsend, Gloria and Rayford Buckles. He was also survivied by his cousins -- Zack, Cade, Caley, Kyla and Michael Cangemi, Aleynah DeLeon, Arden, Eden, Avery, Ronnie Michael and Gabrielle McMillin, Abby Taylor, Macy and Landon Seyfarth, Kristyn and Jordon Arnold, Peyton and Rachel McGivaren, Stephanie, Brent, Lil Randy, Amie and Chase Henslee.

Pallbearers were Zackary Cangemi, Walter Cangemi, Drake Nelson, Lane Strong, Hagen Crawford, and Rayford Buckles.

Honorary pallbearers were numerous friends and fellow bird lovers and all teachers and faculty of the Vidalia School System.
