Cowan shines in Texas
Stephen Cole Cowan of Abilene, Texas former of Vidalia, played football for the Wylie Junior High Independent School.
Cole played eight district games and one tournament game, scoring on touchdown runs of 90. 45 and 30 yards. He also totaled 13 touchdowns in nine games for Wylie.
The Wyle Bull Dogs had 82 players on the 8th grade team, fielding three teams.
Cole is the son of Stephen and Kim Cowan of Abilene and great grandson of Obye Jo and Elwood Simmons of Vidalia and Hilda and Pete Whittington of Ridgecrest. |
