No motions were filed in a Vidalia murder case today (Wednesday) and the District Attorney's office indicated in court that a decision has not been made on whether the death penalty will be sought against Michael Kelly Stevens.

Stevens, 41, is accused in the October 2009 murder of Michael Welch, 52, of Vidalia. Stevens was indicted by a parish Grand Jury on a charge of first degree murder in Welch's death and remains behind bars under a $2 million bond.
