First Miss-Lou forum attracts 125 in Vidalia

The first of three forums sponsored by the Miss-Lou Regional Initiative Steering Committee was held Tuesday at the Bryant O. Hammett Conference and Convention Center in Vidalia.

Concordia Parish Economic and Industrial Development District Director Heather Malone kicked off the forum which attracted about 125 people from Adams County and Concordia Parish. She said the committee was formed in the hopes of marketing the region as a whole.

"The government can only do so much, it's up to the private sector," Malone said.
