Macon Ridge home funding announced Macon Ridge Enterprise Community has a deal for prospective home owners, but the clock is ticking on a tax credit that can make the deal even sweeter.
"We now have a $9,500 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas that can be used for existing or new homes," said Buddy Spillers of Macon Ridge. "We have funding available for up to 20 families in Concordia."
The $9,500, combined with a $25,000-grant from the Louisiana Home Fund Association fund, provides $34,500 per family, said Spillers. "These are for low to moderate incomes. People can build a beautiful $140,000 home for $100,000."
