Funeral services for Charles Granger, 53, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Chandler officiating.

Burial followed at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Granger was born July 23, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Willie Lee and Lucille Harris Granger. He was a retired car salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Altha Burns Granger; three sons, Chavis Dent of Natchez, Jarred Burns of Ferriday and Justin Burns of Atlanta; five daughters, Tammy Blanton, LaTonya Clark, Eva Givens and Sherika Granger, all of Natchez, and Shannon B. Madison and husband, Bobby, of Clayton; five brothers, Woodrow Minor and wife, Janet, of Zachary, Willie Granger Jr. and wife, Michelle, Larry Granger, Thomas Granger and wife, Rhonda, and Kevin Granger and wife, Von, all of Birmingham, Ala.; three special friends, Jesse Terrell, Alvin Stewart and Charles Smith, all of Natchez; four uncles; three aunts; mother-in-law, Clara T. Burns of Ferriday; devoted caregivers, Linda Johnson and Trina Green, both of Ferriday; 22 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
