Joyce M. Franklin
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce M. Franklin, 90, of Jonesville were held at Oak Grove Free Methodist on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bryan Taylor and Bro. Ron Wycopp officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.
Mrs. Franklin was born March 1, 1920, in Sercy to Mary and George Cockerham. She passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Jonesville.
She was a lifelong resident of Jonesville, a homemaker, and a member of the Oak Grove Free Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Franklin; daughter, Mildred Lippman; grandson, Jeff Goodwin; one sister and six brothers.
Survivors include daughter, Margie Toney of Natchez; daughter, Shirley Goodwin and husband Ben of Sicily Island; daughter, Barbara Reynolds and husband Charlie of Alexandria; daughter, Carolyn Butts and husband Carmon of Jonesville; son-in-law, Donald Lippman of Jonesville; sister, Alice Cox of Big Sandy, Texas; sister, Neva Ford of Jonesville; brother, George Cockerham of Shreveport; and brother, Ronald Cockerham of Jonesville. She was also survived by 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matt Merritt, Brad Butts, Andy Davis, Russell Lippman, Tony Lippman, and Glenn Lippman. |
