Funeral services for Wilson P. Miller, 89, of Vidalia were held at Young's Funeral Home, Vidalia, on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Mike Morris officiating.

Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Mr. Miller was born May 3, 1920, and passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010.

He was a resident of Vidalia, a retired school teacher, and a member of the Vidalia United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne O'Quin Miller; father, Wilson P Miller, Sr.; mother, Mary Fussell Miller; four brothers -- Roy, Alton, Glenn and Stanley Miller; two sisters -- Wanzi Miller and Frankie Thomas; and a daughter, Patricia Taylor.

Survivors include daughter, Mary and her husband Philip King of Summitt, Miss.; daughter, Linda and her husband Billy Lawson of Miamisburg, Ohio; and son, Paul and his wife Michelle Miller of Ferriday. He was also survived by 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Cory Miller, Patrick Miller, Raymond Murray, Jason Thames, Jeff Taylor, Mike Taylor and Tony Lancaster.

Honorary pallbearers were Chris Lawson and Donnie Lancaster.
