Tony Joe White draws 3,000 to Delta Music Fest in Ferriday Tony Joe White had no problem making his way around Ferriday Saturday as the featured performer and latest inductee into the Delta Music Festival Hall of Fame.
"I have a lot of kin folk around here and my brother (Charles White) lived here all his life," White said from the Arcade Theater before taking the stage. "He was like everybody else - he could never leave Ferriday."
Ferriday Mayor Glen McGlothin said the festival drew about 3,000 people.
"We had folks spilling in and out most of the day," McGlothin said. "I think it was a great festival. It's pretty impressive for a small town like Ferriday to put on something like this."
