Story Archives: Huntington falls to Trinity

Huntington falls to Trinity
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Huntington School fell to Trinity 12-0 Tuesday in Ferriday as Jake Winston kept the Hounds without a hit for five innings, striking out 12.

The game marked the return of former Hound coach Mitch Ashmore, who is now head coach at Trinity.

Huntington coach Matt Mason coached at Trinity last year.

The win clinched the District 6A title for Trinity. The Saints will host the district tournament, but it will be held at Huntington on April 15-16 because Trinity has to share its games at Liberty Park in Natchez with Natchez High and Cathedral.
