Monterey's Lady Wolves picked up two straight district wins, defeating Glenmore 7-1 on Thursday before disposing of Rapides 15-0 Tuesday.

Monterey scored five runs in the fourth inning in the win over Glenmora Thursday in Monterey.

Sarah Sims tripled with the bases loaded in the fourth to key the rally. Sims also singled.

Karlee Woodruff doubled and singled, while Ellen Bairnsfather had two singles and Ashley Wilson doubled.

On Tuesday in Alexandria, Paige Bryan and Ellen Bairnsfather held Rapides to one hit in the three-inning contest.

Bryan pitched two innings, while Bairnsfather, who cut her hand in the first game against Rapides, struck out the side in the third inning.

Taylor Morace was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple. Bryan tripled and singled. Ariel Hector doubled and singled, while Logan Dale singled twice.

Monterey improved to 4-5 in District 6B with the wins. The Lady Wolves host Oak Hill Thursday.
