Early voting set for May 1 election Early voting begins Saturday, April 17, for the upcoming May 1 election, according to Registrar of Voters Golda Ensminger.
Two proposals will be on the ballot -- one to extend the Vidalia Recreation District 3 millage and another to renew a parishwide School Board one-cent sales tax for 10 years
After beginning Saturday, early voting will continue from Monday April 19, through Saturday, April 24.
The registrar's office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., including the lunch hour, during the early voting period.
