Story Archives: LDWF boat ramp open

LDWF boat ramp open
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries (LDWF) boat ramp on Lake Concordia remains open seven days a week despite a sign placed near the ramp site last week that claimed otherwise.

LDWF's John Leslie, who managed the Ferriday office on Lake Concordia until its closure on January 1, said someone placed a 3-ft. x 3-ft. hand-lettered sign at the intersection of Hwy. 568 and Wildlife & Fisheries Road stating that the LWDF boat ramp was closed Thursday through Sunday.

"I want to let everyone know that the boat ramp is still open and available every day," said Leslie.

He said he doesn't know who put the sign up but said its message was untrue.
