Fourth man booked in Ferriday murder

A Ferriday man was the second to be charged with first-degree murder and the fourth to be charged in connection with the shooting death of Reginald Green on Alabama Avenue in Ferriday on April 3.

Booked on Friday was Daniel D. Butler, 28, 359 Doty Road, on charges of obstruction of justice after allegedly attempting to destroy evidence associated with the case, said Ferriday Police Investigator Dennis Cowan.

Butler was placed under a $5,000 bond on the obstruction charge. No bond has been set on the murder charge.
