Clayton sets first May Day Festival

The Town of Clayton is holding its first May Day Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. - until.

The festival will be held at the town park.

Activities include games such as baseball, basketball and volleyball and everyone is asked to bring their cooking grills.

"We're expecting a number of folks in and looking forward to a really great day," said Clayton Mayor Rydell Turner. "We're excited about it and hope everyone comes out and joins in the fun."

The festival will also include up-and-coming blues artist Greg Jones.

The event is free and sponsors include Concordia Bank, Delta Bank, Tensas State Bank, Davis Second-Hand Furniture Store, Curtis Brown, Pat Hazlip, Joe Parker, Big Cheese Productions and Powerhouse Entertainment.
