Yernita and Arthur Perkins Jr. of Ferriday announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Katrina Shepard, to Willie Spurs Sr., son of Lady K. Spurs and the late James Sullivan of Ferriday.

The bride-elect is the paternal granddaughter of Ms. Pinky Shepard of Ferriday.

She is a graduate of Ferriday High School and attend LSU Alexandria. She is currently employed at Life Share Blood Center in Alexandria.

The bridegroom-elect is the nephew of Mrs. Ruby S. Lollis of Ferriday.

He is a graduate of Ferriday High School.

The wedding will take place Saturday, May 29, 2010, four-thirty in the afternoon at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday.

A reception will follow at the Concordia Parish Community Center on Hwy. 15.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
