Monterey athletes named to academic team
Monterey High senior Ariel Hector was named to the Louisiana High School Athletic Assocation Academic All-State Softball Composite Team.
The composite team is made up of teams in all classes.
Hector, who played first base for the Lady Wolves, graduated from Monterey with a 4.0 grade point average.
Hector and Casey White were named to the Class B All-Academic First Team.
White finished with a 3.85 grade point average.
Monterey placed two on the LHSAA Academic All-State Baseball Team.
Ross Lipsey was named to the Class B first team after finishing with a 3.95 grade point average.
Jorge Gonzalez was named honorable mention after finishing with a 3.76 grade point average. |
