Lady Vikings hand out awards

Vidalia High's softball team held its annual banquet earlier this month.

The awards were presented by Lady Viking head coach Gary Paul Parnham and assistant coaches Amanda Wingfield and Gary Parnham Sr.

Eryn Secrest was named Most Valuable Player fors the Lady Vikings.

The Viking Award went to freshmen Laura Perilloux.

Senior Kassi Randall took home the Captain's Award, Golden Glove Award and Highest Batting Average Award.

Coach's Awards went to sophomore Kennedy Beard, junior Caitlyn Hendricks, Randi Cox and Katelyn Thornton.

Senior Gabrielle Wagoner won the Rookie of the Year Award.

The Iron Women Award went to Lauren Secrest.

The Lady Vikings finished 5-25 this past season, after collecting one win in 2009.

Vidalia won two games in District 3-3A.
