Durham bus contract on board's June agenda

The Concordia Parish School Board failed to renew a transportation contract with Durham School Services during its regular meeting Thursday night, but will review the issue again at its June meeting.

The contract renewal with Durham failed on a 4-4 vote. The contract expires July 31st.

"At the June 10th meeting, we will provide additional information on comparisons of costs associated with the Durham contract versus contract drivers," said Supt. Loretta Blankenstein. "I believe that this will enable board members to make an informed decision in the best interest of all students and employees in the Concordia Parish School System."
