Cynthia Smith has always been a firm believer that God opens doors.

One of those doors is closing Friday when Smith leaves Vidalia High after six years as guidance counselor to take the job as principal of Trinity Episcopal School in Natchez.

"Trinity is a great school that has the potential to do even greater things," Smith said. "They have strong teachers and a board that is committed to excellence. I'm looking forward to the challenge and I'm anxious to get started."
