Businessman Jim Davis of Dallas spent late last month in Ferriday talking with friends and relatives of famous cousins of Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart for a book he is writing about the performers.

"This is a labor of love for me because I love all three of these guys," Davis said. "In 1935, the stars aligned over Ferriday, Louisiana. Over 1935 and early 1936, three cousins were born that would change the course of 20th-century music and culture."
