Grass-cutting, bridge lights viewed at Vidalia meeting

Discussions on the Vidalia's grass-cutting ordinance as well as the new lighting for the Mississippi River bridges dominated Tuesday night's board of aldermen meeting.

Town Attorney Jack McLemore said although the city does not notify residents until after their grass is already eight inches tall, some people are still not complying.

"Most people are complying, but the ones that aren't are pretty obstinate," McLemore said. "But we're going to make them comply. We're going to toughen it up."
