Ferriday to begin aggressive collection campaign Ferriday Mayor Glen McGlothin said the town is beginning an aggressive campaign to collect fines and past due payments for water consumption.
"We have to start clamping down," McGlothin said. "We want to try and be benevolent about it because this is a small town in a poor area, but we have to do what we have to do."
McGlothin said state auditors have informed the town that "we have to collect the money. I know a lot of people are in a bind, but it's up to me to collect water bills and fines. They don't want any excuses from me. So we're going to have to do whatever steps are necessary to do what we have to do to collect the money."
